Tolerances and Accuracy of CNC Turning
General Precision Grade
The tolerance range is usually between ±0.01mm and ±0.05mm, which is suitable for general mechanical parts, such as common drive shafts, support bushings, etc. These parts do not require high accuracy and can be easily met by CNC turning, which is often used with structural parts after Sheet Metal Bending. These parts do not have harsh requirements on precision, which can be easily met by CNC turning, and are often used in conjunction with structural parts after Sheet Metal Bending, and are widely used in the general machinery industry.
Precision Grade
The tolerance can be controlled from ±0.005mm to ±0.01mm, which is suitable for the core parts of precision instruments and electronic equipment, such as sensor shafts and precision gear blanks. The machining requires high precision tools and strict environmental control, and works in concert with High Precision CNC Milling machined parts to ensure the overall precision of the equipment.
Ultra High Precision Grade
Tolerances of ±0.001mm to ±0.005mm are used for critical parts in high-end fields such as aerospace and scientific research equipment. Achieving this precision requires top-notch CNC equipment, a constant temperature and humidity machining environment, and advanced inspection methods, and some parts also need to be combined with Precision Laser Cutting for fine structural trimming.
Form & Position Tolerance Control
